					  <title>Atkins</title>
					  <link>http://www.dietreview.org/articles/1/1/Atkins</link>
<description>Most people know something about the basics of Atkins by now.&#160; You begin by eliminating carbohydrates almost entirely from your diet, which places your body into a state called &#226;&#128;œketosis&#226;&#128;.&#160; You rely almost entirely on protein-based foods and supplements for your nutritional intake.&#160; After the first, &#226;&#128;œInduction Phase&#226;&#128; (14 days) you can add 5 more grams of carbohydrate per week, but they must be very controlled kinds of carbs: leafy greens, nuts, seeds, and berries.&#160; No bread products, cereal, and certainly no sweets. </description>
